Collateral & Deposits
Before trading perpetual contracts on AZX, users must deposit collateral into their trading account.
Supported Collateral
All perpetual contracts on AZX are margined and settled in USDT.
Collateral asset: USDT
Settlement currency: USDT
Supported network: Arbitrum (current)
All margin requirements, profit and loss calculations, funding payments, and liquidation thresholds are denominated in USDT or its equivalent value.
Depositing Collateral
Users may deposit USDT directly on supported networks. Once the deposit transaction is confirmed on-chain, the collateral becomes available for trading.
If a user initiates a deposit using USDC instead of USDT, the AZX interface may prompt the user to convert USDC to USDT at the displayed exchange rate. This conversion is optional and guided directly through the interface.
After collateral has been successfully credited:
The account becomes eligible to open leveraged positions
Margin and liquidation indicators are activated
All supported order types become available
Trading Readiness
Once collateral is deposited, users may:
Open long or short perpetual positions
Select leverage within the limits of each trading pair
Place market, limit, trigger, and advanced order types
Monitor margin usage, liquidation price, and risk indicators in real time
At this stage, the account is fully prepared for perpetual futures trading on AZX.
